Contract periodThe minimum contract period is 24 months, and thereafter automatically extends month by month according to the terms displayed in the price information section below or until terminated.
Activation dateThe activation of Salt Fiber normally takes between 3 and 10 days. This requires the existence of an OTO ID. If a socket has not yet been installed on an existing fiber optic connection, activation can take 4-7 weeks.
Terms of useSalt Internet/TV subscriptions are intended exclusively for normal private use with the devices and accessories intended for this purpose. They may only be used in accordance with the law and the contract. It is prohibited to resell services, to use the services as a provider of value-added/mass communication services (e.g. call centers) and of special applications (e.g. gateways, direct dialing solutions, M2M, permanent connections, redirection/forwarding of connections to value-added services, short or special numbers), or to use the services in a company network environment with several computers. In such cases, or in the event of excessive use that could lead to system or network overload or to an impairment of services for other customers, Salt may restrict or deactivate all services that are used in a manner not expressly provided for in the contract immediately and without obligation to pay compensation.
Terms of terminationA contract with a 24 months minimum contract period can be terminated with 60 days notice to the end of each month, earliest to the end of the 24 months minimum contract period or any prolongation thereof. Termination must be made by phone to Salt customer services. Notices of termination in writing (by letter or email) will not be accepted.

When do you start payingSalt issues the first invoice immediately after the activation of the service. After the initial invoice, the service will be billed on a regular monthly basis.

Please check your spam folder or notifications hidden by your email provider if you have not received such email 30 days after receiving the contract. Please note that the alao voucher can be redeemed within two months after receipt. As long as the voucher has not expired, prolongation can be requested with our customer support. Every inquiry will be treated individually, and the prolongation decision remains at alao's full discretion.
Applicability of price discountThis offer includes a lifetime price discount. The price discount will remain in place until the contract is terminated.

Data Speed Information
The available Internet speed depends on various factors. The two most important ones are the performance included in the Internet subscription and the available fixline connection technology. The service level indicated in the Internet subscription defines the basic speed you can receive. The available technology can limit the scope of services. Salt only offers its Internet plans with a fiber optics connection, providing up to 10 Gbit/s download/upload.
Hardware delivery dateThe Internet modem, connection cables up to two meters long (for power and Internet signal) and, if applicable, a TV box for subscriptions including TV (except for App TV) will be sent approximately 5-10 working days before the activation date. For TV subscriptions with App TV, the customer needs a Smart TV to open and use the TV app. A TV device will not be provided by the provider unless explicitly stated in the offer (e.g. as a gifting promotion)
Payment optionsSalt offers various options to settle the invoice: - payment by invoice (via wire transfer or eBill) - Online Payment (with settlement through the mySalt account by using TWINT, PostFinance, debit- or credit card) - Direct Debit - payment at the Post office or an official Salt store with QR-invoice Beware that payment at the Salt store may be charged extra. alao registers all plans for payment by invoice with the invoice being delivered electronically by email. eBill can be activated directly in the e-banking after the first invoice was paid. To set up direct debit, a form attached to the contract must be filled, signed and returned to Salt.
Verification process & accepted documentsTo buy Salt Internet plan, you only need one of the verification documents listed below. No online identification is required. - Swiss/Liechtenstein ID and passport - Residence permit B, C, L - diplomatic ID/passport - Swiss driver's license - foreign ID and passport Swiss ID/passport can be used to register a subscription up to three months after expiry. A residence permit can only be used to register a subscription up to three months before expiry. The remaining verification documents must be valid. If they have expired, they can no longer be used to register a subscription.
